Kemal Tahir Studies (Kemal Tahir Çalışmaları) was designed to provide a publication venue for researchers aiming to deepen their engagement with Kemal Tahir’s works and ideas, and to encourage and advance scholarship in this field while contributing to its development as a research discipline. The journal’s primary concern is to enable new readings of Kemal Tahir’s works in relation to contemporary Turkey and its issues through the research it publishes, and to play a role in the development of author studies in Turkey. The journal is published biannually (January and July) and operates as a peer-reviewed academic journal with double-blind review. Open to articles in both Turkish and English, the journal primarily focuses on Kemal Tahir studies while also welcoming contributions in two additional areas:

  • Research focusing on different authors within the context of author studies in Turkey
  • Articles on author studies from experiences outside Turkey

Through this approach, the journal aims both to benefit from diverse experiences and to contribute to the development of author studies as a field in Turkey.
