About Journal
Kemal Tahir Studies was conceived to provide a publication platform for researchers seeking to delve deeply into Kemal Tahir’s works and ideas; to encourage and deepen scholarship in this field; and to contribute to its development as a research discipline. The journal’s primary concern is to enable new readings of Kemal Tahir’s works in relation to contemporary Turkey and its issues, and to play a role in the advancement of author studies in Turkey.
The journal is published twice a year and operates as a peer-reviewed academic journal with double-blind review. Open to articles in both Turkish and English, the journal focuses principally on Kemal Tahir studies while also featuring author studies in two additional areas:
- Research focusing on different authors within the context of author studies in Turkey
- Articles on author studies from experiences outside Turkey
Through this approach, the journal aims both to benefit from diverse experiences and to contribute to the development of author studies as a field in Turkey.
